How it works

A real test, explained plainly

No mystery, no smoke and mirrors. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you press start to the moment you see your number.

1

30 questions, five reasoning types

You'll work through abstract matrices, number series, verbal analogies, logical deductions and spatial puzzles. Each type probes a different facet of intelligence, so no single strength (or weakness) decides your score.

2

Progressive difficulty

Like a clinical test, questions start gentle and get harder. Easy items confirm the basics; hard, multi-rule items are what separate the higher score bands. Each question carries a difficulty weight of 1, 2 or 3.

3

A soft 30-minute timer

Speed is part of cognitive ability, so there's a timer — but it's forgiving. You can move back and forth and change answers until you submit. If time runs out, we score what you've answered.

4

Instant, transparent scoring

Your weighted performance is converted to a deviation IQ on the standard scale (mean 100, standard deviation 15) and shown against the bell curve, with a category radar and an explanation for every single question.

The five question types

Abstract Reasoning

Raven's-style visual matrices — find the rule that completes the pattern. (Fluid intelligence & pattern induction.)

Number Series

Infer the hidden rule in a sequence and predict what comes next. (Quantitative reasoning.)

Verbal Reasoning

Analogies and relationships between words and concepts. (Verbal comprehension.)

Logical Deduction

Draw the conclusion that must follow from the premises. (Deductive logic.)

Spatial Reasoning

Rotate and transform shapes in your mind's eye. (Spatial visualisation.)
